No camera? See the sample frame from three angles

The sample aviator is a synthetic metal frame generated by code, not a real product: oval lenses, a double bridge and thin temples. Size 52□18-140: 52 mm lenses, an 18 mm bridge and 140 mm temples.

Highlights for eyewear

  • Sized from the temple markings

Enter the numbers printed inside the frame, for example 52□18-140. The model is scaled to them, and you approve it before it goes live.

  • Consent before the camera

Shoppers see a plain-language consent screen first. The camera starts only after they accept and select Start camera.

  • Face tracking on the device

Tracking runs in the shopper’s browser. No camera images are sent to us or anyone else.

Why shoppers hesitate

Three doubts stop an eyewear sale. Trialhood answers each one.

  1. Sample tortoise aviator rendered in 3D Sample frame (synthetic)

    “Will these suit my face?”

See the look. Shoppers try the frame on in their own camera, on your product page.

Not being able to try frames on is a top barrier to buying eyewear online.1

    Temple
    140 mm

“Will they be the right size?”

True to scale. Size comes from the temple markings printed inside the frame, not a guess.

  3. “Is it safe to turn on my camera?”

The consent screen first. The camera opens only after the shopper agrees.

Privacy concerns blunt the benefit of virtual try-on.2

How it works

Live on your product page in three steps.

  1. Step 1: Add your products

Upload your product photos and enter the real size: width, height and depth, or the temple markings for frames. Already have a GLB? Upload that instead.

    No 3D skills needed.

  2. Step 2: Approve each model

Automated checks flag scale and orientation. Turn the model around, ask for a redo if something is off, then approve it.

    Nothing goes live without you.

  3. Step 3: Add one block

One theme block on Shopify, or one script tag or React component anywhere else. The 3D, AR and try-on buttons appear on your product page.

Designed to get your first product live the same day.

FAQ

Eyewear questions

Will the glasses look the right size?

We size frames from their temple markings (for example 52□18-140) and estimate face scale on the shopper’s device. It’s a realistic style preview, not a prescription fitting.

Do you store shoppers’ faces?

No. Face tracking runs in the shopper’s browser and no camera images are sent to us. We log only that consent was given or declined, with the policy version and time.

Which frames work best?

Most opaque acetate and metal frames work. Rimless, shield and sports frames are harder to capture well. Every model goes through your review before it goes live, and one redo per product is included.

Does it handle prescription lenses or measure PD?

Not today. Trialhood is a style preview for frames and sunglasses, not a prescription or fitting tool.
