Evidence, not hype

What the research says, and what we will prove

We are in our pilot, so we have no customer numbers to show yet. Here is the research we rely on, and exactly what we will measure and publish.

Research

Research in the Journal of Marketing found AR try-on is linked to higher sales, especially for less-established brands, pricier products and shoppers buying in a category for the first time.

Peer-reviewed research using an eyewear virtual mirror found it raised perceived value and shoppers' comfort with their decision, and that privacy concerns reduce that benefit.

A Google-commissioned Deloitte study of 37 brands found that a 0.1 s faster mobile site was associated with 8.4% higher retail conversion. Speed matters, so our script is small.

What we measure in our pilot

Results are published after the first Founding Partner pilots, with the method. No made-up numbers before then.

  • Asset acceptance rate How many generated 3D frames merchants approve without a redo.
  • Time to first live frame From sign-up to the first frame live on a product page.
  • Consent acceptance rate How many shoppers accept the consent screen when they tap Try on.
  • Try-on usage Eligible product views, 3D opens and try-on sessions.

Accuracy questions

Will the glasses look the right size?

We size frames from their temple markings (for example 52□18-140) and estimate face scale on the shopper’s device. It’s a realistic style preview, not a prescription fitting.

Does it handle prescription lenses or measure PD?

Not today. Trialhood is a style preview for frames and sunglasses.
